Zambia is a landlocked country, with 35 -45% of water in southern African sub-region being in this country and the underground water resources can be used at no great cost in areas where surface water is inadequate. The country is therefore, endowed with rivers and streams making most parts of the country fit for agriculture purposes. With slightly over 13 million inhabitants (Census 2010) dotted over the 752,614 square kilometer land, impassable rural roads and river crossing points to access social amenities especially in the rain season, are major challenges for famers, school going children, teachers and general rural dwellers.<\/p>\n
CDFL recognizes the need to invest in Road Access infrastructure to mitigate the challenges faced in these communities under the ambit of our operation.<\/p>\n
