A majority of the Zambian people are disproportionately affected by economic hardship. Barriers to education and employment have limited their assimilation into society. Notably on the Copperbelt Province, CDFL has seen the need to provide opportunities for economically marginalized people due to the decline in mining activities.

The foundation has since provided skills training centers,market and income generating activities to empower the locals to contribute to the growth of the Copperbelt and Shibuyunji economy. This we believe will help individuals develop skills and help them to become more self-sufficient and later eliminate the need for future charity and welfare.
